HOW IT WORKS

How to add artwork to your Frame TV

Download your chosen artwork, save it to your phone, and upload it to your television using the companion app. The process usually takes only a few minutes.

These instructions are general guides. Exact menu names may vary depending on your TV model, app version and region.

Quick Start

Most TVs follow the same basic process: download the artwork, save it somewhere your TV can access, then select it through your TV’s art, gallery or ambient display settings.

Choose an artwork from the gallery.

Download the full-resolution 4K file.

Save the image to your phone, tablet or USB drive.

Open your TV’s art, gallery or ambient display feature.

Upload or select the image.

Adjust brightness, matting and display settings.

SAMSUNG FRAME TV

Samsung Frame TV

Samsung Frame TVs use Art Mode to display artwork when the TV is not being used for normal viewing. The easiest method is usually the SmartThings app.

Download your artwork from Frame Art Hub.

Save the image to your phone.

Open the SmartThings app.

Select your Samsung Frame TV.

Open Art Mode.

Choose Add Your Photos +.

Select the downloaded artwork.

Choose your preferred mat and display options.

Save the artwork to The Frame.

Some Samsung Frame TV models also allow images to be added using a USB drive. If you prefer this method, save the artwork to a USB drive and look for photo or Art Mode import options on the TV.

TCL NXTFRAME

TCL NXTFRAME and TCL Ambient Mode

TCL frame-style TVs and some Google TV models include art, gallery or ambient display features. Depending on the model, this may appear as T-Exhibition, Art Gallery, Ambient Mode, Personal Gallery or Screensaver settings.

Download your artwork from Frame Art Hub.

Save the image to your phone, Google Photos account or USB drive.

Open your TCL TV’s art, gallery, ambient display or screensaver feature.

Look for T-Exhibition, Art Gallery, Ambient Mode, Personal Gallery or Screensaver settings.

Choose your personal photos or uploaded image source.

Select the artwork.

Adjust the display settings.

If your TCL TV runs Google TV, you may also be able to use Ambient Mode or screensaver settings to display personal photos, albums or artwork.

OTHER DISPLAYS

Other ambient displays

Frame Art Hub artwork can also be used with many other televisions, digital frames, streaming devices and screensavers that support custom photo display.

Download the 4K artwork file.

Save it somewhere your device can access, such as your phone, USB drive, Google Photos, Apple Photos or cloud storage.

Open your device’s screensaver, photo frame, gallery or ambient mode settings.

Choose the artwork file or album.

Set the display style to full screen where possible.

Reduce brightness if the image looks too vivid.

Frame Art Hub artwork is designed in a 16:9 widescreen format, which suits most modern televisions. If your device crops the image, look for a fit, fill, aspect ratio or mat setting.

Troubleshooting

The image looks cropped

Make sure you downloaded the full 3840 × 2160 file rather than a preview image. If your TV offers fit, fill, crop or mat options, try changing those settings.

The image looks too bright

Reduce the brightness in Art Mode, Gallery Mode or Ambient Mode. Many TVs look more natural when artwork is displayed at a lower brightness than normal TV viewing.

I cannot find the upload option

Check that your TV and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network, update the TV app, and confirm that your model supports personal photo uploads.

The image looks blurry

Use the full-resolution download file rather than a screenshot, thumbnail or compressed social media copy.

My model does not support custom uploads

Some TVs only display built-in gallery artwork. If your TV does not support custom uploads, try using USB photo playback, a connected streaming device or a photo screensaver instead.
